Last Monday on RAW, a drama on RAW was seen as the Kabuki Warriors had turned heel on their close friend Iyo Sky. Asuka was having a match against Rhea Ripley on the main event of RAW last Monday, with Kairi Sane being on her corner. A positive interaction between Iyo and Rhea Ripley was seen backstage during the show.

Rhea Ripley came out victorious in this match at the end, but the Empress of Tomorrow got frustrated and sprayed the Blue Myst on the face of the Australian professional wrestler. The fans were in a big shock as it was a heated outburst out of nowhere. Iyo Sky came out to save Rhea from her close friends at the end.

IYO Sky 2

Asuka attacked Iyo Sky on RAW last Monday

Asuka shocked the entire world when she did not even hesitate to attack Iyo. At the end, the Kabuki Warriors ended up beating down both Rhea and Iyo. It was a shocking heel done but finally a breath of fresh air, as WWE finally offered something new. Iyo wrote the following on her Twitter regarding getting attacked by Asuka;

Iyo Sky responded to the attack

“We were friends; I thought we were friends. I believed we were friends. Asuka and Kairi don’t want me. [I am] Devastated. No, but I wasn’t helpful for them. I realized that today. This hurts more than losing a match. I just don’t know. Just—I’m done.” wrote the former two times World Champion.

Asuka also talked about her relationship with Iyo on her YouTube channel last month and here is what she said; “In Japanese wrestling, there’s a very strict senpai–kohai system. Since I debuted before her, I was the senpai (senior) and IYO was the kohai (junior). Normally, that means the junior must follow everything the senior says. But I never wanted to treat IYO like that.

Asuka was frustrated after losing to Rhea Ripley

"To me, that culture had no meaning, no value. So I didn’t follow that tradition. Instead, we went beyond it — we teamed up, went into different promotions together, trusted each other, and fought side by side. Later, IYO went her way and I went mine, and for a while our paths were separate. But years later, we met again in WWE.”

This may have been a fresh new angle, but a lot of fans are not really happy with this angle being brought in since Asuka is 44 years old right now, and there is nothing much to see here. All of these wrestlers that are involved in the storyline are established stars. But nonetheless, this is something really new, and so far it looks quite exciting.
