Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior for the WWE World Championship at WrestleMania VI is still considered one of the biggest and most impactful matches in the history of professional wrestling. Hogan was undefeated at WrestleMania at that point, and he was undoubtedly the biggest star in the world of wrestling at that time.
From the first WrestleMania event to WrestleMania V, he remained undefeated as he defeated some of the biggest stars of the wrestling world, like King Kong Bundy, Andre The Giant, and Randy Savage. The Ultimate Warrior was still a fresh name in the wrestling world, and nobody expected him to be a proper opponent for a thousand in the main event of a show like WrestleMania.

Bruce Prichard remembers Hulk Hogan losing to The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI
In the main event of WrestleMania VI, Hogan defended the WWE World Championship against The Ultimate Warrior, and almost no one expected Hogan to lose. But it actually happened, Warrior shocked the world by defeating Hogan and winning the title. Bruce Prichard remembered this match and revealed how it affected Hogan. Speaking on his "Something To Wrestle" podcast, he explained the following;
The Ultimate Warrior was the first wrestler to beat Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania
"Hulk was willing to try and Hulk was willing to do whatever it would take to get Warrior over. I don't think that he had total confidence that it would work, because he didn't feel that Warrior was fully vested, and he was in it. He really didn't like the business and didn't care, where Hulk was kind of a lifer and loved the business."

Hogan won the World Championship back at WrestleMania VII
"But Hulk was like: no, he'll do anything he can to get this guy over, and he did, Hulk kind of wanted to turn heel, and I think a little bit after Hulk had dropped the title Hulk was nervous going out in front of a crowd the first time. ... Because he thought that he was a failure."
Hulk Hogan was never taken off from the main events even after dropping the title at WrestleMania VI, and at WrestleMania VII, he featured in the main event for the world title once again, where he defeated Sgt. Slaughter to win back the WWE World Championship and become a three times champion. Hogan will always be remembered as one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling.
