Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 to become the face of the promotion after remaining out of the promotion for around 6 years. During his early career, he was mostly treated as a mid card and, in some aspects, he was also a future prospect. But during his later days in his first run, he was mostly seen as a lower mid card.
Frustrated with his status in the promotion, ultimately left in 2016, and he was also one of the founding members of AEW, which was opened back in January 2019. He failed to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 to win the Undisputed WWE title, but he made no mistakes at WrestleMania XL, where he dethroned Roman Reigns after his 1300+ day reign. Presently, he stands as the face of WWE.
