But she left WWE in 2015 and also announced her retirement from in ring action. She remained out of action for more than a decade before finally making a sensational return to WWE recently. Rollins' wife, Becky Lynch, was also making Punk's life miserable. She already cost him his opportunity to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris. After the mentioned event, she kept on humiliating Punk. Finally, Punk brought his wife, AJ Lee, into the picture as a backup against Becky Lynch.

Lee stood against Becky Lynch in her husband's quest to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins. Lee made her return to action after 10 long years, and she recently revealed that it was never easy for her to return after such a long time. Speaking with ESPN’s “Vibe Check” podcast recently, she said;

“Quite honestly, managing my anxiety. I get a little nervous with the tension and I’ve been very comfortable as a writer and producer the past ten years, being behind the scenes and creating worlds where I don’t have to be the art. I kind of liked being the artist. Now, to be both and create this cool world and have people looking at me is a little stressful, but I am very good at managing my anxiety now, and I can balance it and keep myself even. The mental part has been the biggest hurdle so far.”
AJ Lee teamed up with her husband CM Punk, to take on the team of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed tag team match at the WWE premium live event Wrestlepalooza. It was Lee's first in ring appearance after her return, and she was quite impressive. We can definitely expect to see a mega feud between Lee and Becky Lynch next.
