After Asuka became a part of WWE, she also started an undefeated streak. Her streak started in the NXT, and it continued until her main roster days. He spoke in a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, where he explained the following to defend the former WWE and WCW star;
Goldberg is not happy with Asuka beating his record
“Didn’t this last guy ask him about his undefeated streak? Yeah, after he brought it up. Okay, it’s part of the conversation. You’re already getting pissed off because you know I’m about to defend Goldberg. There’s nothing that man said that was wrong.”
“Did he mispronounce Asuka’s name? Yes, but if you’re not familiar with the pronunciation of Asuka and you just see her name on paper and pronounce it phonetically, yeah, ‘Asuka.’ It looks like that’s what it is—he may not know her.”
Asuka also responded to the statement
“But other than that, I hear a guy talking about his streak and talking about the spear, and he’s taking it a little more seriously than some wrestlers do. I’ve come across all types of wrestlers in my career. Some people could care less and realize that this is all a work—it’s sports entertainment, it’s the land of make-believe—and at the end of the day, excuse me, guys, nothing really matters.”
“And there are some people who take it very, very seriously. Bill takes it more seriously. Bill comes from the very real world of professional sports and football, wasn’t broken into this business, and wasn’t taught or brainwashed a certain way.” said Bubba Ray Dudley.
