WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is facing a lot of criticism from the wrestling world after he made controversial remarks on former 4 times WWE World Champion Asuka. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion expressed his disappointment with Asuka beating his record of his undefeated streak from his WCW days.

Goldberg started an undefeated streak after he made his WCW debut in 1997, which continued until the end of December 1998. Even after 28 years, it is considered one of the most iconic undefeated streaks in the history of professional wrestling. He even won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship during this title run. The streak ended with him dropping the Championship to Kevin Nash at Starrcade 1998.

When Asuka made her WWE debut in 2015, she also started an undefeated streak which continued for a record breaking 914 days. Finally, it was beaten by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34 when Asuka challenged her for the Women's title. Her undefeated streak is not considered as iconic as the former WCW star's, but the two reigns are often compared.

The WWE HALL of Famer recently expressed disappointment with Asuka beating his streak. Asuka even responded to this criticism, but she did not react at all. “You know, I hate to say this because Goldberg’s a friend of mine. But I think these old guys need to stay out of what these young guys are doing. We had our time. For us to think about, in any way, knocking what these young guys and girls are doing today, it’s just totally out of bounds.”

“We had our time, we ran hard, it was a great time. For us to talk about what these young guys are doing right now in a negative way, I think it’s wrong in any way, shape, or form. Critiquing the wrestling is something we do. I’m just glad I’m one of the guys who try to lean to the side that old school is cool, but we’re in a different era now.” said the two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
