CM Punk is the present World Heavyweight Champion, and he has been active in the promotion since his return at Survivor Series 2023. He had been portrayed as a main eventer ever since returning, and this is his second World title following his return. He will also enter the upcoming War Games match at the Survivor Series event, which is scheduled for November 29.
CM Punk signed with WWE for the first time back in 2005, and he worked on the Ohio Valley Wrestling, which was the developmental territory of the promotion. He made his main roster debut in 200,6 and he was promoted as a mid card star during his early career. He had rivalries with multiple top names when he started working in WWE.

Mr Kennedy remembers real life issues with CM Punk
One of the earliest rivals of his WWE career was Mr Kennedy, who was a bigger prospect than him in 2006. But his wrestling career was cut short due to multiple issues, and after he left the promotion in 2009, he never returned. Mr Kennedy recently remembered his real life beef with Punk while speaking on the “All Axxess” podcast, he said;
Both Mr Kennedy and CM Punk had been to of the biggest projects of WWE back in 2006 and 2007
“Punk and Ace Steel and Dave Prazak were doing commentary, and I wrestled against Austin Aries in one of the opening contests. Those guys just buried us – from the time Aries came through the curtain to the time that we both left. They just buried us.”
“Years later, I was on an independent show with him, and I just [asked], ‘Can I talk to you for a second?’ I pulled him into a different room, and I said, ‘Uh, do we have heat or something?’ He didn’t know where I was coming at it from.

Mr Kennedy left WWE in 2009, never to return to the promotion again
"I laid out the scenario, and I said, ‘I’m waiting for this tape, right? I can’t wait to see this tape of my match, and then when I get it, I’m watching it, and you guys are just burying us the whole time. Is there a problem?’ He was like, ‘No.’ He gave me the deepest, most sincere… There was no ‘Yeah, but.’ He gave me a genuine apology. Then we squashed it, but I still held that grudge.”
Mr Kennedy's WWE career did not last long despite having been treated as a future prospect. CM Punk, on the other hand, went on to become one of the biggest stars of WWE. He won his first World Championship in 2008, and he also accomplished other successes, becoming the only wrestler to win two Money in the Bank Ladder matches. He is still active in WWE, and he is also the present World Heavyweight Champion.
