Drew McIntyre and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes had a huge match on the main event of SmackDown last Friday. Originally, Drew was supposed to face Jacob Fatu on the main event of the show to determine the no 1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship held by Rhodes.

But Fatu had been sidelined by a kayfabe backstage attack just before the match. Drew McIntyre was accused of this attack, but he did not look much bothered by the accusation and demanded a title shot. Cody Rhodes decided to give him what he wanted, and the duo started a brutal fight in the main event of SmackDown last Friday.

Drew McIntyre is really angry about Cody Rhodes intentionally disqualifying himself

At the end of the match, the American Nightmare decided to disqualify himself by hitting McIntyre with the Championship. The maths ended write there, but the fight did not. McIntyre recently expressed his frustration with Rhodes intentionally disqualifying himself. Speaking on Twitter about the incident, he said the following;

Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes what in the main event of SmackDown last Friday

“I need to get therapy. I don’t know what to do at this point. This keeps happening again and again. Our world champion gives me the match, then causes a DQ and takes away another opportunity. I’m sure when I talk about it next week people will blame me and say I’m whining.

“My first reaction was I gotta torch his bus. Not when his family’s around but I gotta torch his bus. Then Sheamus gets me on the red eye flight — it was 5 a.m. and I couldn’t go home. I didn’t want to make my wife’s day hell. I flew here and still did leg day.

The duo restarted their rivalry after their title match at Wrestlepalooza, where Rhodes won

“I have to keep going; I can’t give up. Maybe I’m a psychopath because I’m in the gym right now, doing legs after yesterday with no sleep at all. I don’t care how many people Corporate Cody has behind him — that title is mine. I’m going to get it no matter what it takes. I’ve given up family for this industry; it’s the life I chose. I know next week is going to be hell for Cody, and no matter what it takes I’m going to have my moment.”

This incident clearly restarted the feud between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The next event of WWE is going to be Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1, where we can expect Rhodes to defend his Championship against McIntyre. But the predictability is what is killing this feud, much like most of the feuds of Rhodes.
