Drew McIntyre is currently involved in a rivalry with Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship, and in two weeks, the duo will have a Championship match on SmackDown. The episode is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany. It is a long-standing rivalry, but in most cases, McIntyre had to deal with defeats.

Drew McIntyre has been promoted as a main event in WWE since early 2020, and things started kicking off for him after he won the men's Royal Rumble match of the mentioned year. He went on to defeat Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 36. 2020 was his year as he was on top of everyone.

But after dropping the title for the second time in 2021, he never got a proper World Championship run. He won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL, but his title reign lasted only five minutes as Damian Priest cashed in the Money in the Bank contract instantly after his title win and took the title away from him.

Drew McIntyre's finisher is known as Claymore

One of the most iconic aspects of Drew McIntyre is his finishing maneuver, the Claymore. It looks quite unique and also pretty stylish. The Scottish Psychopath recently talked about his finisher and discussed how he accidentally invented it. Speaking on ESPN's "Get Up," he revealed the following;

"Oh, it's wonderful," McIntyre said when the interviewer asked him how he felt every time while using the move "I'm six-foot-eight, 280 pounds, and I love just kicking people in the face."

"The move came around by accident, actually. I created it when I was younger. I used to wear these tight leather pants when I was a kid, and I ran to kick somebody in the face – just a regular big boot. I realized the pants were gonna split, I kicked up my other leg, hit my opponent in the face"

"That's where The Claymore came from. I developed it, it resulted in world title after world title after world title. And what I'm saying is: the secret to success is tight, tight leather pants." said the former three times WWE World Champion.
