Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre from Clash at the Castle 2022 is often considered one of the best WWE matches under the reign of Triple H. This event was packed with some amazing matches, including the WWE Intercontinental Championship match between Gunther and Sheamus, as well as the Undisputed WWE Championship match.

Roman Reigns held the World Championship for over 1300 days, and a large number of fans still believe that Triple H missed a huge opportunity by not giving the title to Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle. The Scottish Warrior had been really impressive in this match, and the fans expected him to win the world title soon.

But despite being treated as a main event star throughout the reign of Triple H, McIntyre never got a proper World Championship run during this time period. He only had one world title run that lasted five minutes. He dropped to the Championship to Damian Priest instantly after winning the title since Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.

It has been over 3 years since Clash at the Castle, and it is still considered one of the biggest missed opportunities in WWE in recent history. His third World title lasted for five minutes only

“The Roman one, was one of the big ones, obviously the biggest loss of my career, was the first stadium show in the UK for 30 years. It was set up perfect for me to have to get a big win in front of my people. That’s when Roman was, you know, the bad guy, but everyone was cheering him every night.

"And that night, I was expecting it to be 70-30, but everyone was on my side. It was all perfect. Tonight was gonna be Drew McIntyre’s night, and Solo debuted and scre*ed me. Like, every freaking title match, but that’s the night that I was like, ‘Wow, this freaking sucks.’ But Roman’s been my kryptonite. I’ve wrestled him a bunch of times over the years. Never won.” said the Scottish Psychopath.
