WWE fans kept on complaining that Triple H did not use Drew McIntyre properly, as he could only win one World Championship title since Triple H took charge of WWE, and the title reign only lasted for 5 minutes. Despite not getting much World Championship run time, he had some excellent rivalries with some of the top stars of WWE.

He was the first rival of CM Punk since returning to WWE. They had some amazing matches in 2024. Drew McIntyre could not win the feud, but they had been really amazing together. CM Punk can also be considered one of the biggest rivals of McIntyre's professional wrestling career. The fans can expect these two wrestlers to go head to head in the future.

Drew McIntyre discusses his rivalries with CM Punk and Seth Rollins

Speaking of McIntyre's only World Championship run under Triple H, it was whom he defeated at WrestleMania XL to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Scottish Psychopath recently talked about his rivalries with CM Punk and Seth Rollins and discussed the importance of these two feuds. Speaking on “Busted Open Radio” podcast, he explained the following;

Drew McIntyre had a long rivalry with CM Punk in 2024

“You know, Seth and I have always had, you know, great back and forth, great rivalry. It’s always been based on professional rivalry rather than personal rivalry. Like, who’s the better man? We both believe we should be the one leading the future of the industry.”

He also had a rivalry with Seth Rollins in the same year

“That’s personal. We literally can’t stand each other. You know, we have to work together, let’s say, we would make it work. And because of that hatred we have of each other, because of our ability, I guess, we made it work, and Punk was sitting on the shelf with his pathetic little muscles and bones that break all the time, and I was the one doing all the freaking work. And then he came back to work, then I went to the next level. But if you ask everyone else, that’d been the number one.”

Drew McIntyre is presently having a rivalry with the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. But it is highly unlikely that he would get to win the title in this rivalry. Chances are very high that he will get buried once again. We seriously hope the situation for the Scottish Psychopath changes in the future.
