Dominik Mysterio is definitely one of the biggest prospects of WWE right now, and his big push started after he turned on his own father back in 2022. It is still considered one of the best heel turns in WWE history and one of the most shocking ones as well.
Dominik went on to become one of the most hated heels since them, and he also had a long running feud with his father, Rey Mysterio. Had a match at WrestleMania 39 where Rey Mysterio defeated his son, which seemed more like a fairy tale ending to a long running father vs. evil son storyline.

Dominik Mysterio wants a rematch from WrestleMania 39
But after this one match, the rivalry between Dominik and Rey kind of stopped and they had some irregular matches every now and then. Dominik Mysterio recently expressed his desire to have a rematch against his father while speaking on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast recently. Here is water WWE Intercontinental Champion had to say;
Dominik Mysterio lost to his father Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 39
“I don’t see why not, if I become the Mega Champion for AAA. I don’t see why my father, the leprechaun, shouldn’t be coming down to me and begging for a title shot, you know he’s been hurt with his injury since WrestleMania right?" Said the WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Dominik Mysterio is the present WWE Intercontinental Champion
He continued, "So if you want to come back and I’m the Mega Champion, the Intercontinental Champion as well, he has never fought for that title when it comes to the Mega Championship for AAA. So if I get my hands on it, I’m sure he’s going to want to put his name in the history books but he’s got to go through me, the greatest Mysterio of all time.”
Rey Mysterio is presently 50 years old and he does not have any future left in the world of professional wrestling. Dominik, on the other hand, is doing a great job, and he is only 28. He is definitely a huge prospect and also has a great future. Rey should end this long running feud by giving his son a big push, which would help him for his future.
