There is no doubt that Dominik Mysterio is one of the biggest prospects of WWE right now, and the promotion is giving him a slow and old school build up. At first, he worked as a tag team wrestler along with his father, then he won the NXT North American Championship, cementing his strong mid card status, and now he is holding the WWE IC Championship.

He has done an excellent job since turning heel in 2022, and his feud with his father, Rey Mysterio, will always be remembered as one of the best father-son feuds in professional wrestling history. Even in a short amount of time, he has had excellent rivalries with some of the top stars of the promotion, and we are hoping to see more of him in the future.

Dominik Mysterio names his dream opponent

But who is his dream opponent? Dream opponents are mostly the wrestlers that have not been an opponent of that particular wrestler previously; the wrestler that stays in that wrestler's Mt. Rushmore is often considered a dream opponent.

Dirty Dom is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion

The present dream opponent of Dominik Mysterio may sound shocking to a lot of WWE fans. It is not someone from the past; it is not some top star like John Cena or Roman Reigns. The wrestler who presently stands as the dream opponent of Dominik Mysterio is Bronson Reed.

Dominik Mysterio is presently having a feud with AJ Styles

Recently, Dirty Dom spoke with Dave LeGreca and Bubba Ray Dudley on the Busted Open Podcast, where he explained the following: "Yeah, there’s a lot of people, I feel like. You know I’ve never really gotten in the ring with Bronson Reed. I know he’s a big boy, but I feel like we’d have some fun in there.”

Dominik gave one of the most realistic and possible names of a dream opponent, and we can definitely see this match sooner or later. And it is quite strange that this match has not happened yet. Presently, the 28 year old is having a feud with AJ Styles for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
