The present WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio, has earned a lot of success, mostly after he turned heel in 2022. He is one of the most hated heels not only in WWE but in the world of professional wrestling today. There was a time when the WWE Universe did not even let him talk on the mic.
But with his hard work, slowly he has started to earn the respect of the WWE Universe, and he even receives cheers from the fans. Despite continuing to work as a heel and he takes support of villainous techniques to win each and every single one of his matches, the fans do not hate him as much as he was hated him back in 2022.

Dominik Mysterio comments on potentially turning babyface
But can you imagine Dominik Mysterio as a babyface after everything he has done in the past 3 years? Recently, the WWE Intercontinental Champion was asked about a potential babyface turn during his latest appearance on “WrestleRant” podcast. Here is what he had to say about it;
Mysterio back in heel back in 2022
“I react to what is being given to me, right? As of now, they’ve been booing me, but every now and then they’ll chant that Dirty Dom song, and that Dirty Dom song, for one way or another, it always gets a crack out of me and I tend to break and smile because it’s… It’s funny hearing everyone singing it together because I’ve just been getting booed for years.

"I don’t know if I’ll ever embrace it because I haven’t changed anything about myself. I’ve just been Dirty Dom all the way. So the fact that the people still love it, I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see. It’s got to be organic. You can’t force anything. You can’t force it.”
Dominik Mysterio working as a babyface after generating so much heat from the fans would be quite interesting to see. But we can all expect that he would do a good job as a babyface because by now it has been pretty much clear that he is a tremendous worker and he is capable of playing any character.
