John Cena is presently going through his retirement tour as he promised that he will retire from in ring action at the end of this year. It has also been announced that he will have his final match at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show, which is scheduled for December 13 of this year.
His final opponent has not been declared officially yet, but it is reported by major sources that The Ring General Gunther is going to be the last ever opponent of The Champ. Gunther is presently out of action as he suffered multiple injuries at the Summerslam event, where he dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk.

But he also has three more appearances left in his contract apart from his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, one of which includes an appearance at the Survivor Series event, which is scheduled for November. He will at least have another major match, and at least one more wrestler will be fortunate enough to be a part of the retirement tour of Cena.

But who is going to be the fortunate wrestler to get the honor? Dominik Mysterio had been a rumored name to challenge John Cena once before he retired. Dominik Mysterio also expressed his desire to face Cena. He said on Instagram, and also while speaking with Graps & Yaps backstage at WWE RAW in Perth, Australia. He said;

“I mean, at the end of the day, I’m here. If John Cena wants some, he can come get some. He’s got four dates left, you said? I mean, if that old geezer wants me to put a final nail in his coffin, I’ll be more than happy to. That’s what I’m here for. I’m here to be and stay your dirty double champ.”
Dominik Mysterio is holding the WWE Intercontinental Championship right now, the title that Cena never won, and it also prevents him from being a Grand Slam Champion in WWE. So Cena challenging Dominik for the title will definitely make sense, and Survivor Series can be the best stage for this dream match.
