WWE SummerSlam 2025 was an excellent show with loads of action filled matches and lots of thrills. The majority of the fans believe that SummerSlam 2025 was a better show than WrestleMania 41, which was supposed to be the biggest show of the year. The main event of both shows, Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena was the same, but SummerSlam provided a much better main event.
John Cena finally dropped his 17th World title to Cody Rhodes, and now he is pretty much out of the World Championship picture. Rhodes is now having a feud with Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE World Championship. His match against John Cena from SummerSlam 2025 is already being considered one of the best matches of the entire year so far.

Mick Foley talked about John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes from SummerSlam 2025
The rest of the matches of the show were also quite good, and overall, the show can be considered the best premium live event of WWE of 2025 so far. WWE Hall of Famer and former three times WWE World Champion Mick Foley recently talked about the main event of SummerSlam 2025, and he also shared praise for the present WWE roster. Recently, he was interviewed by The Finish, where he discussed the following;
Cody Rhodes ended John Cena's 17th world title reign at the mentioned event
“Well, I was impressed with so many of the SummerSlam matches. Cody [Rhodes] and [John] Cena, I think really delivered the goods. And I think what ‘Mami’ is doing — Rhea Ripley — is sensational. I love that Becky Lynch is back, so I think WWE is looking at some really good days. They’ve really done a great job getting their talent ready for the main stage, and that pays off in the end.”

At the end of the show, John Cena was attacked by the returning Brock Lesnar
John Cena is presently having a few with Logan Paul, and the duo is scheduled to meet at the upcoming WWE premium live event, Clash at Paris. Cena is also facing Brock Lesnar in the future, who attacked him after his defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes on the main event of SummerSlam 2025.
Moreover, it will always be remembered as one of the best SummerSlam events of all time since it is also the first SummerSlam to be a two night show. The return of Brock Lesnar at the end of the show made it even more exciting. It also witnessed the end of the iconic 17th World Championship reign of John Cena. Nobody in WWE history has won more World titles than him.
