When WWE decided to return Saturday Night's Main Event after more than 16 years, they presented the event in a vintage look. From the set to the attire of the officials, everything had a retro feeling just to remind us of the heritage of the event, which included the World Championship held by Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare carried the famous Winged Eagle World Championship title instead of the new title. Cody Rhodes even defended this famous Championship against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event. The American Nightmare recently remembered bringing back this title, and he revealed that he wanted Brother Love, aka Bruce Prichard, to present him with this title. Speaking on his “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” podcast, he explained the following;

“I knew Brother Love wasn’t coming back when I asked you to be Brother Love to present me with the Winged Eagle Title. I wanted it. I think I said as if it was a joke, and you’re like, ‘Haha, no.’ I wanted Brother Love in the ring going into Saturday Night’s Main Event with the Winged Eagle Title.
WWE decided to keep the title on screen for one and a half months
"I ended up doing the Pulp Fiction with Triple H in the case, but I’m looking and there is a Winged Eagle off in the distance. I’m not going to ask you when Brother Love is coming back, because I’d be hot if Brother Love comes back.” said the present Undisputed WWE World Champion.
The Winged Eagle Championship became really famous among the WWE Universe, so the promotion decided to keep it for more than a month until the Royal Rumble event, so that they could boost the sales of this title at the WWE Shop. At Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in a ladder match, and that was the last time we got to serve do Winged Eagle Championship.
