No doubt Cody Rhodes has been a defending Champion, and she has defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against some of the top stars of the promotion ever since winning the title. He won the title back at SummerSlam by defeating John Cena, and since then, he has been holding the Championship quite strongly.
As soon as he won back the Undisputed WWE Championship, he entered a feud with the former three times World Champion Drew McIntyre. He was attacked on the episode of SmackDown after SummerSlam by the Scottish Psychopath, and he remained out of action for a while.

Drew McIntyre will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship
After Cody Rhodes returned to action, he instantly granted Drew McIntyre a title shot at the Wrestlepalooza event. Rhodes was able to snatch out a victory in this match and also managed to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. The rivalry was postponed for a while since he had to enter the Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Championship.
The match will take place on Saturday Night's Main Event
As soon as the event ended, the duo started their rivalry last week on SmackDown. Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre were supposed to have a one on one match to determine the no 1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship. But Jacob Fatu was viciously attacked by an unknown person backstage, so he was taken out of the equation.

Cody Rhodes already defeated Drew McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza
Rhodes and McIntyre had a match on the main event of SmackDown where the champion intentionally disqualified himself, and McIntyre was awarded a victory by DQ. Later, it was announced on Twitter by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis that Cody Rhodes will defend his title against Drew McIntyre at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event show on November 1.
Unfortunately, the fans do not look very engaged in this rivalry since everything looks so predictable whenever it comes to Rhodes. It is quite obvious that he will not drop the Championship before WrestleMania 42, so all of his matches before the event have seen nothing but fillers. Hopefully, WWE is able to kill this predictability.
