Cody Rhodes has been promoted as the face of WWE ever since he returned to the promotion in 2022 during WrestleMania 38. He worked in the promotion previously for a decade, where he had been mostly treated as a mid card and during his later career, he became a lower mid card when he was playing the character of Stardust.
Ultimately, he was frustrated with his WWE treatment and decided to leave the promotion. He was having a wonderful time outside of WWE, and he was also a founding member of AEW. After spending over 3 years in AEW, he decided to return to WWE in 2022, and he was presented as a surprise opponent of Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38.

Cody Rhodes went on to win back to back two Royal Rumble matches, and ultimately, he dethroned Roman Reigns and ended his 1300+ day World Championship reign at WrestleMania XL. He had completed one year of the World Championship run before dropping the title to John Cena at WrestleMania 41. He defeated John Cena at SummerSlam to win the World title for the second time.

He is still maintaining his main event status in WWE, and he will also enter the upcoming War Games match at the Survivor Series event as the Undisputed WWE Champion. Recently, Cody Rhodes was asked about his political views while speaking with the “Bertcast.” Here is what he had to reveal;

“It really checks the box, because there’s a group of people that is just insistent on like, ‘That guy’s clearly a Republican. He’s had a Trump hat before, he has a neck tatt. He’s from Georgia. Like, he’s clearly–.’ Whereas my family is super-moderate, fairly lifetime liberal family. We’ve been all over the map, sure.
"But those people, there’s no way I’m convincing them. I mean, it’s the US flag on the side of my neck. I mean, it would be a waste of my time to try and like, ‘Hey well, I think a little differently than you’d perhaps perceive, but okay… Yeah, I’m very moderate, so that means I have no voice. Like, no voice.” said the present and two times WWE World Champion.
