AJ Lee returned to WWE recently and has already worked in the ring multiple times. Not only did she feature in a mixed tag team match along with her husband CM Punk, but she also participated in the women's War Games match at the Survivor Series event. Since she has not shown up yet, the fans can definitely expect her to continue working in the ring regularly.
She returned to the ring after more than a decade to help her husband against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. CM Punk and Seth Rollins were having a rivalry for the World Heavyweight Championship. But Becky Lynch was providing support to her husband Seth Rollins during their matches. Punk desperately needed support as an answer to Becky.

So, he brought his wife, AJ Lee, back to provide an answer to Becky. It was Lee's first WWE appearance in over a decade. At the Wrestlepalooza event, Punk and Lee teamed up to take on the team of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed tag team match. The babyface side was quite dominant in this match, and Lee made Becky submit with her signature Octopus Hold submission move.

Lee returned after a while to cause more damage to Becky Lynch as she interfered during her IC title defence, Maxxine Dupri. Lee's interference cost Becky her title, and it also stretched their rivalry even further. Lee and Lynch featured in rival teams inside the War Games at Survivor Series, and once again, Lee made Becky submit in this match.
Punk is the present World Heavyweight Champion
After Survivor Series, both of these wrestlers are inactive, but we can definitely expect them to appear soon. These two wrestlers can meet again at the upcoming Royal Rumble event, as both of them are expected to participate in the women's Royal Rumble match. WWE star Roxanne Perez recently expressed her views on CM Punk and AJ Lee working on the same roster. Speaking on the “Going Ringside” podcast, she stated the following;
“Oh, that’s been awesome having them around in the locker room. You could definitely see the change in Punk’s energy and just overall happiness when she’s around. It’s so cute. It’s awesome to see. I grew up watching them. The storylines that they created were some of my favorites to watch growing up. So, to now have them there and for them to just be people that I can turn to whenever I need advice or need help or anything… they’re amazing.” said Roxanne Perez.
