Chris Jericho was only 19 when he made his in ring debut in 1990. She worked on various independent circuit wrestling promotions during his early career, and he had been quite successful on the indies. He got his first big break in 1996 when he got the opportunity to work in ECW. But he did not work on the promotion for long.
In the same year, he got the biggest call of his career when he was called out by WCW, where he spent a total of 3 years. He was one of the biggest attractions of the famous cruiserweight division of WCW as he had been a four times WCW Cruiserweight Champion. He also won the WCW World Television Championship one time.
Jericho made his WWE debut back in August 1999, and his debut is still considered one of the best debuts in professional wrestling history. During his early career in WWE, he was treated as a mid card, and he mostly feuded for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He won the WWE Intercontinental Championship multiple times, and he also had some excellent rivalries for the title.
At Vengeance 2001, Chris Jericho created history by defeating The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night to win both the WCW Championship and the WWE Championship. Jericho was released from WWE in 2006, only to be back in 2007, and he completely changed his outlook after this return. Presently, he is heavily rumoured to return to WWE to end his iconic professional wrestling career.
