Reports suggest that the name of Chelsea Green was pitched to win the women's Royal Rumble match this year, but the idea was ultimately cancelled. Chelsea Green recently talked about this revelation and how she felt about potentially winning the Royal Rumble match. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight Podcast, she said the following;

“God bless Ed. I wish he never said it. I wish it never aired, because now it won’t happen, that’s my thought. Is it now we have to wait at least five years for it to happen, and who knows where I’ll be in five years? When I watched it, I didn’t know that. Everything that you saw in Unreal, we’re not told these things.
Chelsea Green was the speech to win the match, but ultimately dismissed
"I thought that was such a good idea. I hope that they use it. Well, for me, yes. But if not on me, we need a Carmella to come back and do that. You know what I mean? Somebody with some spice, a Billie Kay, someone funny, who really would take that.” said the present and two times WWE Women's United States champion.
This revelation was first made during the Netflix documentary series WWE Unreal, but the idea was quickly dismissed as Charlotte Flair had always been in the original plan to win the Royal Rumble match. Chelsea Green still remains one of the biggest attractions of WWE, and she is doing an amazing job as a mid card wrestler. We can definitely hope that she goes on to win the Royal Rumble match in the future.
