Chelsea Green holds the record of being the only two times WWE Women's United States champion right now, and just a number of weeks ago on SmackDown, she defeated the previous champion Giulia to win her second WWE Women's United States Championship. She is also the inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion.
But things were not very easy for Chelsea Green when she made her return to WWE in 2023. She returned to the promotion as a surprise and friend in the women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event of the mentioned year, and she got eliminated in only 5 seconds. She had been treated as a lower mid card ever seen, and it never looked like WWE had any big plans for her.

Chelsea Green recently remembered working with Nikki Bella in the ring
But she changed things for herself with her hard work, and presently she stands as a two times WWE Women's US Champion. In June this year, she had a match with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, which was the first one on one match of Nikki Bella since her return to WWE. Chelsea Green recently talked about this match while speaking with Unlikely. She said;
Nikki Bella returned to in ring action at the Royal Rumble 2025
"No matter what, that was always going to be an extremely tough position to be put in for her, for her opponent, [and] for the producers," said Green, who is the present and two times WWE Women's United States champion "She is the epitome of women's wrestling."

Nikki Bella's first one on one match since returning was with Chelsea Green
She continued, "I wanted to do her justice and her legacy justice, you know?" she recalled. "I know I'm biased because it's me, but I think I was the perfect opponent to put her over and to have her confidence kind of boosted. And now look at her? Now she's like Nikki Bella, like she never left!"
Nikki Bella made her return to action at the Women's Royal Rumble match, and since June, she has been working regularly in the ring. She started things off quite impressively with a victory over Chelsea Green, but after this win, she kept on losing matches, and she has even had a losing streak since then. But overall, she had been quite impressive ever since returning to in ring action.
