If any wrestling fan is asked who the biggest professional wrestler in the women's wrestling world is, a large number of fans will claim that it has to be Charlotte Flair. The daughter of the 16 times World Champion Ric Flair is not only one of the biggest names in the wrestling world, but he also won the highest number of World Championships among women.

Charlotte Flair has won a total of 14 World Championships, and no one in WWE even comes close. Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus come next with seven world titles each, which is exactly half of what Charlotte won throughout her WWE career. No doubt she is considered one of the biggest names in the history of women's professional wrestling.

Charlotte Flair never wanted to become a professional wrestler

But it was a strange thing that, despite being such a successful professional wrestler, Charlotte was not a professional wrestling fan in her childhood, despite being the daughter of one of the biggest professional wrestlers ever. Ric Flair recently remembered Charlotte's childhood and how she accidentally came into the wrestling world. Speaking with Escapist Magazine recently, he said;

Charlotte Flair was not a wrestling fan while growing up

“She [Charlotte] only became a wrestler by accident. But not only is she the best female wrestler, she’s the best wrestler in the world and the most athletic person in the company. She is the best wrestler, male or female and I can say that without flinching, without looking back. The only person who I think is close to her, when he is on and healthy, when you think about in ring timing and knowing where you are all the time, is Randy Orton. Randy’s really underutilized.”

Charlotte is presently active on SmackDown

Charlotte Flair returned from a long injury during the Royal Rumble event this year, and she participated in the women's Royal Rumble match. She went on to win the women's Royal Rumble match and also earned the right to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE women's Championship at WrestleMania 41.

But after she failed to beat Tiffany Stratton and capture her 15th world Championship, she could not return to the main event status as of now. She also received a terrible reaction from the fans, and as a result, Triple H demoted her to the Tag Team division, and presently she is holding the Tag Team titles with Alexa Bliss.
