John Cena will wrestle his final match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13, and to determine his final opponent, WWE has organised a 16 man tournament, and the winner of this tournament will get the honour to face The Greatest of all Time in his last ever professional wrestling match.
The quarter finals of the tournament are presently under way and Gunther, who has already qualified for the semi final is heavily rumoured to win the tournament and earn the opportunity to challenge John Cena in his retirement match. It has already been discussed that the former 17 times World Champion will pass the torch to the Ring General in his final match. Gunther and Solo Sikoa will face each other in the semi finals.

Brock Lesnar to feature in the Last Time is Now tournament?
But professional wrestling legend Vince Russo still has a belief that Brock Lesnar will be a part of this tournament at the end, and he will attack the winner of the tournament to get the opportunity to challenge Cena at SNME. While discussing this on “The Coach & Bro” podcast, he explained the following;
Brock Lesnar is presently active in the War Games feud for Survivor Series
“They’re not thinking about him, coach. That’s the problem. If [John] Cena is your property, you’re doing that. I’m still holding out that whoever wins the tournament. Brock Lesnar’s going to take them out, and Brock Lesnar’s going to have the match with Cena. I’m still holding out for that, coach.” said the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo, who had been a writer for major wrestling promotions like WWE, WCW, and TNA Wrestling.

Gunther is heavily rumoured to win the tournament
Brock Lesnar is presently involved in the War Games match rivalry for Survivor Series which is scheduled to take place on Saturday. He is a part of the heel side of this match, and it is believed that he has replaced Seth Rollins, who is presently out of action with a shoulder injury that he suffered at the Crown Jewel event.
But it can be said that Lesnar has nothing to do after his WarGames participation at Survivor Series, and we can expect him to get involved in a new storyline. If Gunther gets to win the tournament, and Lesnar takes away his spot, it can be an excellent build up for their potential WrestleMania match. So never say never.
