Brock Lesnar made his main roster debut back in 2002, and it is still considered one of the most impactful debuts in professional wrestling history. Lesnar made his debut back in 2002 during the RAW after the WrestleMania X8 episode. A Hardcore Championship match was going on, including Al Snow, Maven, and Spike Dudley.

Lesnar suddenly crashed into the match and started beating down all three wrestlers. He delivered massive beatdowns to all the mentioned wrestlers. Spike Dudley received the deadliest beating of all three men involved. Spike Dudley recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet on the “INSIGHT” podcast, where he remembered this incident and pointed out a mistake that Lesnar made. Here is what he had to say;

Brock Lesnar made a mistake during his debut

“That was the only time I tapped out, because he [Brock Lesnar] hits me with three powerbombs. It was supposed to be five. We said in the back, ‘Just do as many as you can. Let’s go for five.’ But after the third one, I was just seeing stars.

"I couldn’t hold myself up anymore. And I was like, ‘That’s it, brother.’ He goes down for the fourth one, and you can see he’s about to do it, and I’m going, ‘Nope, can’t do it.’ And he lets me go, which was totally respectful.” said the ECW Legend who was a big part of the iconic debut the Beast Incarnate.

Brock Lesnar was greeted with an instant main event course push, joining the main roster as he had feuds with almost all the big names from the WWE Attitude Era and defeated them. In the following months, he defeated more top stars. He defeated the Rock at SummerSlam 2002 to become the youngest WWE Champion at the time. The next wrestler to have a feud with him was the Undertaker, and at the No Mercy event, he defeated the Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell. The next in line to feud with him was the Big Show, who was also defeated by Lesnar ultimately.

Kurt Angle was next in the queue, and Lesnar's feud with Kurt Angle is still considered one of the best feuds of Lesnar's career. The duo even met at the main event of WrestleMania XIX. Even Stone Cold Steve Austin was scheduled to job to Brock Lesnar at that time, but Austin refused to do it. A large number of fans still believe that Brock Lesnar, during his early days, he was the most overrated wrestler in WWE history.
