After this match, Jacob Fatu remained out of action for a while, and the reason behind this absence was never cleared.
Jacob Fatu suffered an injury last week
Fatu recently made his return to WWE SmackDown, and he confronted Drew McIntyre on the night of his return. Ultimately, he ended up attacking the Scottish psychopath and also beating him down. Last Friday on SmackDown, Fatu was seen being attacked by an unknown person backstage, and now he will be out of action for an indefinite period.

Fatu was actually injured before, and WWE just gave it a kayfabe touch by adding the backstage assault drama. Previously, it was reported that he would be out of action for a long time, and he would not be able to return to action before 2026. He also shared the good news that the injury will not be as long as it was expected before, and he will be able to return before Survivor Series, which is scheduled for next month. Thankfully, the earlier news which claim that claimed he would not be able to return to action before 2026 seems not to be right. Fans can expect him to continue his rivalry with Drew McIntyre once he returns to action.
