Stone Cold Steve Austin has not been seen in WWE since his appearance at WrestleMania 41. He made an appearance during the show to announce the attendance of the show. But after this appearance, he was nowhere to be seen. Some rumours have it that he may have his final match at WrestleMania 42.
Stone Cold Steve Austin was forced to retire from in ring action after WrestleMania XIX at a very young age. She had an old neck injury that destroyed his career. He was one of the biggest attractions of WWE of his time and, of course, one of the biggest reasons behind the ultimate success of WWE during the 90s. His retirement was a huge loss for the promotion.

It took him nearly 2 decades to return to in ring action as he finally had one more match at WrestleMania 38 against Kevin Owens. He had a No Holds Barred match against the former WWE Universal Champion, and even after having a match after such a long time, he did not lose his touch.

That was the last match Steve Austin had, and it was also believed to be his final match. At WrestleMania XL, the fans witnessed one of the most overbooked matches in the history of wrestling. At the last sequence, The Rock was taken out by the Undertaker. But later, it was confirmed that the original plan was for Austin to appear to eliminate the Rock.

Rumours have it that he would have a match at WrestleMania 42, but Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select made it clear that WWE does not have any plans for Stone Cold Steve Austin to have a match at WrestleMania 42. Ultimately, it looks like his match from WrestleMania 38 would be his last ever wrestling match.
