Becky Lynch may be one of the biggest names in WWE right now, but she had to go through a lot of criticism throughout her WWE career because of getting massively over with the fans and also for getting consistent main event push. Much like most of the top stars, Becky was not spared from criticism either.
One of the wrestling legends who had always been critical of Becky Lynch had been Vince Russo, who was the lead writer for WWE during the early days of the Attitude Era and also of the latter days of WCW. He was even a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion. But for some reason, he is never a fan of Becky.
Wrestling Legend claims that Becky Lynch is in the main event because of Seth Rollins
His recent acquisition of Becky crossed all the lines when he said she is only on the main events because she is married to Seth Rollins. Speaking on the “WrestleBinge” podcast recently, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion said the following;
Becky Lynch is a seven times World Champion
“She’s in the spot she’s in because she’s married to Seth Rollins, and Seth Rollins is Triple H’s boy. And that’s why she’s in a main event spot, because there are girls on that roster that, in my opinion, are better than her. So I’ll be honest, man. I don’t think it has anything to do with the business passing her by.”
She is also holding the WWE Women's Intercontinental championship right now
“She was never over to me. I mean, to me she wasn’t like I said, bro, the punch in the face, that visual that really put her on the map. And bro, it’s even I say this all the time. And you can, I’ll say the same thing coming off of her last promo. Real people don’t talk and act like that.” he continued, “That is that is so over the top. Bro, think about it. If if if my wife had a beef with somebody else’s husband, that that’s not how it’s going to go down. It’s not going to go down that way. So it looks like a freaking cartoon.”
Nikki Bella also had to go through such an allegation when she was in a relationship with John Cena, and while being in a relationship with John Cena, she was the top star of the women's division. But such allegations can never be proven, and it is really difficult to believe that a talented wrestler like Becky Lynch gets a main event push because of nepotism.
