Bayley had been showing up on Monday night RAW every week on various vignettes where he looked quite confused about what to do next. She was having a really difficult time recently as she lost her opportunity to win the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship, and she looked quite frustrated.
After the vignettes that appeared on RAW featuring her, it became clear that he is going to play a new character. A large number of fans expected it could be a sensational return of her Hugger persona, which made her famous among the WWE Universe during her early days of her professional wrestling career.

But later it was clear that the promotion was going to give her something different and something new. It was looking like she was going to play a split personality character, much like the latter days of Bray Wyatt. This week on RAW, she finally made a grand return and made it completely clear what she is going to do next.
She saved Lyra Valkyria from the Judgement Day on RAW
Lyra Valkyria had a match with Roxanne Perez on RAW this week. After Valkyria picked up the victory in this match, Raquel Rodriguez and Perez started beating her down. Bayley made a surprise return and saved Valkyria. When Valkyria apologized to her, she stood in the ring for a while after saving her and looked confused.

Suddenly, she looked really happy. She went out of the ring and started hugging everyone, from the officials to the fans. Something that she used to do while portraying the character of the hugger. She was seen again backstage later, where she yelled at Lyra Valkyria, exactly in the same fashion as the Role Model.
Now it is pretty much clear what is going to be the new character of Bayley; she is going to play a multiple personality disorder character where she will be confused between both of her hugger and role model characters. She will keep on switching characters every now and then. Honestly, it sounds really cool.
