Bayley has definitely been one of the most famous names in the women's wrestling world, and she has done an incredible job after joining WWE. She started working in WWE back in 2012, and after having an amazing run in the NXT, she came to the main roster back in 2016, and her fans had a lot of expectations from her.

Her "Hugger" character became famous overnight among the fans, and she even went on to become one of the highest merchandise sellers of WWE during that time. She was mostly famous among the female fans of WWE, especially among the little girls, who started idolising her.

Bayley is potentially bringing back her Hugger character

In 2019, she turned heel for the first time, which is also said to be the biggest turn of her WWE career. She won multiple Championship titles after turning heel, and she was widely known as The Role Model while playing the mentioned heel character. She is still playing this character despite having turned babyface last year.

Bayley has been playing the Role Model gimmick since 2019

But it has been nearly a year since she got a regular booking in WWE. She is mostly being treated as an afterthought despite winning the women's Royal Rumble match of 2024 and also winning the world title at WrestleMania 40. Her fans were extremely unhappy with the way she was treated in WWE recently.

Bayley was introduced among the WWE fans as The Hugger

In the recent episodes of RAW, she had been seen lamenting about her recent failure and she also explained how broken she is on the inside. This week on RAW a voice mocked her by saying, “Of course you don’t. Ding Dong, Hello — you haven’t made sense in a long time.” And at the end of the promo, the voice said, "How About A Hug?"

This is a clear indication of a potential return of her famous hugger character. It was the same character that introduced Bayley among the WWE fans, and it also made her world famous. The Role Model is pretty much done, and getting back her famous Hugger character would definitely be an excellent idea.
