Batista had been one of the few names successfully transitioned from Professional wrestling to Hollywood. The first wrestler to do it successfully was The Rock Dwayne Johnson. Before that, multiple wrestlers tried their luck in Hollywood but failed. Even Hulk Hogan could not be a successful name in Hollywood despite working in multiple movies.

One of the latest names to successfully transition from WWE to Hollywood is John Cena, and he is having an amazing time as a movie star. He even decided to retire from Professional wrestling so that he could be fully focused on his Hollywood career. He is going to wrestle his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13.

Why Batista does not like doing action movies

Another successful name that transitioned to Hollywood from WWE was Batista, who has been active in the world of Hollywood for more than a decade, and he is quite successful already. Recently, he talked about his opinion on doing action movies. Speaking with "Collider" recently, she explained why he is not fond of doing action movies;

Batista is fully focused on his Hollywood career right now

“Well, the reason behind that earlier in my career is because I didn’t want to get, that wasn’t why I set out to be an actor and I thought once I get in that lane, I’m going to be stuck in that lane, and if I don’t get that, get roles that require me to do some dramatic acting or some comedic acting or anything that’s outside of the box of action, then I’ll just be stuck in that rut, and that wasn’t what I got into this business for.

"But then when I started, you know, getting these action films, you get them. You got to start out owning it a bit, a little bit. Cause people when they are watching action films, they want to see an action hero. So have those moments where you give some heart to the story, but you got to have some of those moments where you’re just a bada**. You’re just kicking *** and taking names because that’s what action heroes do. So that’s it. Just trying to find that balance.”

Batista made his main roster debut in 2002, and he had been one of the biggest names in WWE throughout the Ruthless Aggression Era. He had been a six times world champion, and he had amazing rivalries with some of the top stars in WWE, like Triple H and Edge. Presently, he is retired from in ring action and he is fully focused on his Hollywood career.
