Batista wrestling career

Batista decided to become a professional wrestler a little late in his career, and he made his in-ring debut when he was 30. He signed a developmental contract with WWE in the year, and he started working in Ohio Valley Wrestling, which was the developmental territory of WWE back then. He worked under the ring name Leviathan in OVW, and he even had an undefeated streak, which was ultimately beaten by Kane.

He made his main roster debut in 2002, and he started working as the Bodyguard of Rev. D-Von. Soon, he started working with Triple H and also became a part of the famous faction Evolution, which turned out to be the biggest boost for his professional wrestling career. He had an excellent backstage relationship with Triple H, which helped him a lot to become successful in WWE.

He worked in both singles and Tag Team wrestling during his early career, and he had also been a two times Tag Team Champion with Ric Flair while being a part of Evolution. Surprisingly, he never won any singles mid card Championship in his WWE career. He only focused on the World Championships after he became a main eventer.

WWE started pushing him as a main eventer in 2005. First, he won the Royal Rumble match and earned the opportunity to challenge for the desired World title at WrestleMania 21. He decided to challenge his on screen and real life good friend Triple H and also turned babyface in the process.

He went on to defeat Triple H at WrestleMania 21 to become the World Heavyweight Champion. It was the beginning of his ultimate success, and he went on to win the WWE World Championship six times in total. He had some amazing rivalries with the likes of Edge, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and even with the Undertaker.

At the Bragging Rights event of 2009, the Undertaker defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal 4 way match against Batista, Rey Mysterio, and CM Punk. Undertaker retained the title by pinning Batista. The Animal turned heel after the match by attacking Rey Mysterio to take out his frustration. Needless to say, he did an amazing job as a heel.

He left WWE in 2010 to seek a career in Hollywood, and he became quite successful as a Hollywood star. He returned to WWE in 2014 and won the Royal Rumble match to feature in the main event of WrestleMania XXX. But this time, the fans did not accept him, and he did not get to win the WWE World Championship at WrestleMania XXX. Just a number of months after WrestleMania XXX, he left WWE again.

He returned to WWE in 2019 to have his final match, and this time he wrestled his real life good friend Triple H at WrestleMania 35 in a losing effort. He never returned to in ring action after this match, and it looks like he will never return again. We can expect him to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame soon.

Triple H vs Batista

Triple H vs Batista had been one of the biggest rivalries of these two wrestlers’ careers. Their rivalry dates back to 2005 when Batista won the Royal Rumble match and decided to challenge Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21 instead of JBL for the WWE Championship.

Batista defeated Triple H at WrestleMania 21 to win the World Heavyweight Championship which was also his first World title in WWE. The rivalry continued until the Vengeance event of the same year. Batista won the first feud between the two. The duo had multiple matches later, and the last wrestling match Batista had was against Triple H at WrestleMania 35. Triple H was victorious in this match and Batista never returned to wrestling after this match.
