Austin Theory was one of the biggest projects of Vince McMahon during the dying days of his wrestling career, and he wanted to promote him as the next face of WWE. The first thing McMahon gave him was the men's Money in the Bank ladder match in 2022, making his intentions clear about him. But not everybody expected him to go on to win the world title since Roman Reigns was having a reign.
It was pretty much clear that McMahon had huge plans for Austin Theory, but ever since Triple H took charge of the creative department of WWE, he has completely buried him. Theory won the WWE United States championship and also the Tag Team Championship one time under the reign of Triple H, but he has never been a favourite of the Cerebral Assassin.

Bubba Ray Dudley questioned Triple H for burying Austin Theory
Triple H has been questioned by the fans and the critics multiple times for burying Throry, but it never looked like he cared much about him. WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley recently talked about The Game's booking regarding Theory while speaking on his Busted Open Radio Podcast. Here is what he had to say;
Austin Theory is reportedly out of action with an injury
“I have always been an Austin Theory fan. The kid, first of all, always looks like a million dollars, gets it done in the ring. I think with reps and in the right situation, Austin Theory can be a heat-generating heel for the WWE. Vince McMahon saw something in Austin Theory. Now, I don’t know if that’s what bit Austin in the a**. I don’t know if Vince loved this kid so much that by default Hunter was like, yeah, no, let’s put him on a back burner for a while.”
“There are a lot of people backstage that were very big supporters of Austin Theory. The kid was obviously seen in a certain light by, we’ll just call it Vince and his creative team. Now, maybe Hunter and his creative team see something different.

Reports suggest that Theory was the masked man at Survivor Series
"I can’t see a guy like Paul Heyman not seeing anything in Austin Theory. I would be very shocked if Paul would have come on the show or even if I just talked to Paul, and Paul would say, the kid doesn’t have it. I’d be shocked. I think Austin Theory would make an amazing addition to The Vision.”

“You don’t, the fans don’t dictate creative. Creative dictates creative, and it’s their job to get people to go along with it. So the WWE is not going to worry if the hood comes off and it’s Austin Theory and people are going, oh, boo, we don’t like it, because he’s going to be a heel. And then somebody’s going to turn around and go, good. I am happy you don’t like it. I hope you hate it, because Austin Theory is now part of The Vision.”
Triple H kept on facing the criticism on the booking of Austin Theory, until the latest scenario at the Survivor Series event, where a mysterious masked man attacked CM Punk in this match. Reports are suggesting that this masked man is none other than Austin Theory; however, it has not been revealed yet. If true, this is going to be his final opportunity in WWE to prove himself.
