Goldberg recently talked about Asuka beating his undefeated streak after the Japanese professional wrestler remained undefeated in NXT and WWE combined for 914 days. Goldberg's undefeated streak dates back to his WCW days, where he was not defeated for over a year after his debut in the promotion.
Goldberg's undefeated streak started from the very first day of his television debut, and it continued until the last week of December 1998. He was not beaten for 173 matches in WWE. It made him one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling, and even in his 50s, he remained a huge attraction in the wrestling world.

Asuka also started an undefeated streak after she started working in WWE. Her streak began in the NXT, and it continued until his main roster days. She was finally beaten by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34 when she challenged Flair for the WWE Women's Championship at the mentioned event.

Still, the WWE Hall of Famer recently expressed his frustration over the fact that the Japanese professional wrestler broke his streak. He even called her 'some girl' which sparked controversies among the wrestling world. The Empress of Tomorrow responded to the criticism from the WWE Hall of Famer. She wrote the following on her X/Twitter in response;

“Goldberg’s comments about me are all over the news right now. But honestly, I’m not bothered by it at all. What he said came from his own perspective, and that’s fine. There’s really no need to make such a big deal out of it. Listen to my philosophy. It’s not about what I accomplish. It’s about what I try to create. Philosophy and vision — that’s where the real value is. I don’t find meaning in anything without beauty.
