WWE brought back Andrade from AEW as a surprise entrant in the men's Royal Rumble match, and since then, he has started working regularly in the main roster of the promotion. But with the roster of the promotion being really stacked, he really struggled to get regular bookings despite having some great matches.
Much like a lot of wrestlers in the WWE roster right now, he was also lost in the shuffle, and at one point, the fans completely forgot that he was a part of the WWE roster. He won the WWE Speed Championship once, but it is an undercard title that does not even feature in the main shows of the promotion, so it cannot be considered an achievement.
Matt Hardy discusses the release of Andrade
Finally, it had been reported that the former WWE United States Champion had been released from the promotion. Professional wrestling legend Matt Hardy recently discussed his release when he talked about this incident on his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast. He explained the following;
Andrade was rehired by Triple H in early 2024
“I’m going to start off by saying I like Andrade a lot. I got along very well with him. I worked with him first in WWE on the main roster. I know we worked a few times in South America, whenever we did a South American tour. I really enjoyed them, got to work with him on a few house shows and live events.
He had been released from the promotion recently
"Obviously at AEW, I was paired with him. He kind of came in and joined the Hardy Family Office, and we made it into a conglomerate, right? We just joined together. And it was a little over saturated, it was a little much. And I think we both realized that kind of going in, but it is what it is."
Andrade is not the only wrestler who became a victim of the present product of WWE led by Triple H. Since 2022, he has broad back a lot of wrestlers but most of them did not get to do anything and ultimately got released from the promotion getting to do nothing. Karrion Kross is another example who became quite over but still got released. Triple H needs to change his present vision and also needs to stop hiring wrestlers without any future plans.
