Aleister Black recently returned to WWE after remaining out of the promotion for four long years. He was released from WWE back in 2021 as the promotion was desperate to adjust their budget due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Just a week before his release, he started a new rivalry with Big E, but WWE did not follow up on this rivalry and decided to release him.

Aleister Black was one of the top prospects of WWE when he was in the NXT, which is the developmental territory of WWE, where he won the NXT Championship once. He was getting a mid card push after joining the main roster. But WWE could not retain him after 2021, and he relocated to AEW, where he played a similar dark character.

Aleister Black reveals how Triple H wants to present him

In AEW, he was renamed as Malakai Black, but his character was not much different from WWE. He recently returned to WWE after spending 4 years in the promotion. Black recently appeared on “The Angle” podcast, where he talked about his recent return to WWE and also explained how Triple H wants to present him on WWE television. Here is what he had to say;

Aleister Black recently returned to WWE

“I think for me it only made sense to come back as that, right? And like anything else, it would alienate what we already had built. Adding on it, maybe? I didn’t think it was necessary, Triple H didn’t think it was necessary like the presentation was always complete. It wasn’t even really like a conversation in regard to what should we do, it was like this is what we’re doing.

"And especially now that they’ve put you know my entrance into the ramp itself, that was a really good feeling. It means for a big part, you’re factored in. To me, I was very honored that that they put my ramp inside the actual stage so they modified the stage to accommodate what I do. It was a no brainer for all of us.”

Aleister Black is getting the same treatment in WWE after this return that he was receiving before his release in 2021. He is presently getting a mid card treatment and most importantly, he is receiving regular booking on Friday Night SmackDown. Hopefully, he will win some Championships in the future, too.
