The wrestling world is changing; the biggest superheroes of wrestling are slowly heading towards their retirements. One of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling, John Cena, will retire from in ring action at the end of this year. He is going through his retirement tour right now, and he will wrestle his final match on December 13 at Saturday Night's Main Event.
Another huge wrestling star, AJ Styles, also announced recently that he will retire at the end of 2026, and some reports are suggesting that he will have a retirement tour same way as John Cena this year. Styles worked in major wrestling promotions like WWE and TNA Wrestling, and he had been one of the previous names that TNA Wrestling created.

AJ Styles' upcoming retirement discussed by Matt Hardy
A lot of wrestlers, legends, and pundits have already started to talk about the upcoming retirement of the great AJ Styles, including his real life good friend and professional wrestling Legend Matt Hardy, who recently explained the upcoming impact of the retirement of Styles. On "The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy" Podcast, he said the following;
AJ Styles will retire at the end of 2026
"AJ's great," Matt said. "I love AJ as a performer. I love him as a human being. What a great dude. Very proud to call him a friend. I mean, I get it. Some people want to leave whenever they can, whenever they feel like that they might be taking a step back or they might be getting a little slower, they might be getting a little older, they want to leave where they feel like they're on top. So, I get it and that's fine. We'll miss him. We'll miss AJ Styles because he's a very, very special talent."

He has had a career in professional wrestling for nearly three decades
He also talked about the impact of Styles in TNA Wrestling, "I know, in his heart, he's got a lot of love for TNA," Matt said. "Really when I think about it, he is the most important pillar of TNA. He is the guy that put TNA on the map whenever it first started. Without AJ Styles, TNA isn't where it is right now."
Styles has been active in WWE since 2016, and for the last decade, he has been one of the most valuable stars of the promotion. He won the WWE World Championship 2 times, and he also had some amazing rivalries and matches with some of the biggest names of the promotion. It is going to be a huge loss for professional wrestling.
