After the Clash in Paris event last Sunday, the potential return of the former WWE Divas champion AJ Lee has been the big matter of discussion among WWE fans. Lee has been out of action for the last decade, as she announced her in ring retirement back in April 2015. But there is a huge possibility that she makes a sensational return soon.
At Clash in Paris, CM Punk challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, with Jey Uso and LA Knight also involved in this match. At the end of the match, Becky Lynch appeared to help her husband and assist him to get a pinfall victory over CM Punk. She has also joined the faction led by Rollins.
Former World Champion discussed the possible return of AJ Lee
Instantly, fans broke into theories that CM Punk's wife AJ, is potentially returning to WWE to avenge her husband. Wrestling legend and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo recently discussed this possibility when he spoke on a recent episode of "Legion of RAW." He explained the following;

“There was a lot of buzz around the Clash in Paris yesterday online within the internet wrestling community. They were gonna do something really, really big at the end of the show because ESPN has Wrestlepalooza. They wanted to set up Wrestlepalooza. So they made everybody believe The Rock was coming, they made everybody believe Brock Lesnar was coming. Now, when the pop is around AJ Lee, now that is absolutely embarrassing.”
“That’s what the pop is down to now – AJ Lee. That’s the pop now. I’m telling you, you know, and we got pops in the box, and I would not be surprised if they are relying on the pop. In other words, okay, AJ Lee in Chicago on SmackDown on September 4th.”
The rumor has started to spread after Becky Lynch cost CM Punk his title opportunity at Clash in Paris
“Okay, well, we’re going to need to do something else five weeks after that. When’s Liv going to be ready? Okay, pencil Liv in for, you know, October 10th, and then wait a minute, Roman should be coming back in November. That’s what I feel like. It’s like Roman’s out again, bro, so now we got another pop on this show. I literally feel like that’s all we’re doing. It’s all mediocrity.” said Vince Russo.
CM Punk and Becky Lynch had a one on one confrontation on Monday Night RAW this week, which has boosted the possibilities of the potential return of AJ Lee. If this actually happens, the fans will finally get the dream rivalry between AJ and Becky Lynch. CM Punk and AJ will also be portrayed on screen for the first time in WWE.
