This Friday, WWE registered one of the best episodes of SmackDown of 2025. It had high class drama with the final SmackDown appearance of John Cena, the return of Brock Lesnar, a number of excellent matches, and also the much awaited return of the former three times WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee.
Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were making the life of CM Punk miserable for the last couple of weeks, and this week on SmackDown, Becky confronted Punk and ended up slapping her. Punk replied that she would never hit back at a woman, but there is someone who would. And she introduced the returning AJ Lee.

Lee entered the arena and attacked Becky Lynch. After beating down Lynch, who saved herself by escaping the ring, Lee posed with the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship, which is presently a property by Becky Lynch. It made things pretty much clear that the championship match between the duo is looming in the future.

But what is going to be the first match of the former three times Divas Champion upon her return after 10 years? Latest reports from Pwinsider suggest that at the upcoming WWE premium live event Wrestlepalooza, Punk and Lee will challenge Lynch and Rollins in a mixed tag team match.

It looks like WWE will slowly build up a one on one match between Lee and Becky Lynch, and there are high possibilities that the duo will meet in their first ever dream one on one match at the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Australia. It can also be a Women's Intercontinental Championship match.
This is also going to be the first Championship run of AJ Lee in over 10 years if she gets to win the title. But this would be a little weird that two prime wrestlers will be fighting for a mid card Championship when they have already proved themselves. Moreover, this dream rivalry will be really fun to watch.
