AJ Lee reveals the origin of her dating life with CM Punk
Lee recently talked about the early days of her dating life with CM Punk and how things started off between the two. She also revealed that it was not a typical romantic story, and there was no romance during their early meeting days. Speaking with Stephanie McMahon on the “What’s Your Story?” podcast, she stated the following;

“We dated probably two years after our storyline. But our first kiss is on television, and then I put him through a table. Wrestling relationships. Early on, I think he respected me to the point of [sic]. In NXT, he was one of the announcers, and when everyone else was shit on us, he would be like, ‘But AJ is cool.’ He was always putting me over. I think he just knew I love wrestling.”
Lee recently made her WWE return after more than a decade
“He was supposed to say something really mean to me in one of the live [segments]. One of the backstages that was going on live, and it was live. Then he didn’t say the mean thing, and he hit on me or something like that, when you weren’t supposed to. I was like, ‘That was so cool.’ Yeah, it was not in the script, but he took care of me, and I thought that was really nice.”
AJ Lee teamed up with Punk to take on the team of Seth Rollins and Becky range at Wrestlepalooza, where Lee made Lynch submit. After this event, Lee remained absent for a number of weeks before making her return recently on RAW to continue her rivalry with Becky Lynch. He even participated in the women's War Games match at Survivor Series.
