AJ Lee was arguably the biggest name of WWE during the Divas era of the promotion. She had been a former three times WWE Divas champion, and she also had some excellent matches with some of the top talents. She was also quite famous for his amazing mic skills, and she is often considered one of the best talkers among women.
She retired from in ring action back in 2015, and she has remained out of action ever since. Finally, after more than a decade, she made a sensational return to WWE as a part of the storyline between Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and her husband, CM Punk. It all started back at Clash in Paris when Lynch cost Punk his opportunity to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
Former World Champion calls AJ Lee a mid card
Last Saturday on SmackDown, AJ Lee made a surprise return to avenge her husband and the majority of the fans are extremely happy about this return. However, wrestling legend and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo called AJ Lee a mid card talent while speaking on his “The Brand” podcast. He said;

“First of all, she’s a good little hand at best. She’s a freaking mid-card talent, but the thing is, Stevie [Richards], we haven’t seen her in ten years. Do people like not grow and not evolve in ten years? This angle was all about Becky Lynch punking out her husband and slapping her husband around. She should’ve just come down to the ring in freaking street clothes and taken it to Becky Lynch.”
Lee remained out of action since 2015
Lee also appeared on RAW last Monday, where she confronted Becky Lynch and had an excellent promo segment. She also introduced herself by claiming she is the favourite wrestler of the favourite wrestlers of today's generation, and it was not at all exaggerated. For example, she is the favourite Wrestler of Roxanne Perez.
At the end of the segment, Lee announced that she will team up with her husband, CM Punk, to take on the team of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at the upcoming WWE premium live event Wrestlepalooza. We can also expect her to have a single match with Becky Lynch over the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship in the future.
