The Premier League game week 3 had been completely crazy after back to back shocking games as Manchester City once again lost, and Liverpool kept their 100% winning record this Premier League season so far. Arsenal finally lost a match, and it felt like an eternity. It might have been a narrow 1-0 victory, but the game was extremely entertaining.

The first half had been completely dominated by Arsenal Football Club as Liverpool looked like the away side at Anfield. The Gunners had multiple chances to score a goal, but somehow, Liverpool's defence kept on preventing them throughout the first half. Liverpool, on the other hand, were really poor. They had some chances too, but they were definitely not enough.

Premier League Dominik Szoboszlai

Liverpool defeated Arsenal in game week 3 of the Premier League 2025-26

The Liverpool midfield had not been up to the mark as both Mac Allister and Wirtz had been quite poor in the first half. Madueke of Arsenal had most of the chances, but Kerkez kept on stopping him. Arsenal also had loads of corners in the first half, but none of them could be converted.

Arsenal dominated the first half of the game

The second half started in Arsenal's favour in terms of position, but after around 10 minutes, Liverpool finally picked up the pace of the match, which they had lacked from the very beginning. Arsenal were slowly losing control of the game, although they kept trying hard. They did manage some serious goal attempts and corners, but nothing was worth a goal.

Premier League Dominik Szoboszlai

Dominik Szoboszlai scored the only goal of the match of the Premier League game week 3

In the 82nd minute, Liverpool's hard work paid off as Dominik Szoboszlai scored an amazing free kick. Such free kicks are very rare to see in Liverpool after the departure of Steven Gerrard. But Arsenal had enough time in hand to score at least an equalizer or even a winner since they had eight minutes of normal time and seven minutes of added time.

Since swallowing the goal, Arsenal increased the pressure on Liverpool, and it was getting really difficult for the home side to keep their lead intact. But ultimately, Liverpool did an amazing job to keep on preventing Arsenal from scoring the equaliser. Liverpool remind me only team after the Premier League game with three to win all three games.
