The Mighty Manchester United Football Club have struggled in almost all positions in the last couple of years, especially last year, when they had their worst ever campaign in nearly 50 years. They finished 15th in the league and could not achieve any silverware either. It was more like a nightmare that the fans want to forget badly.

From their goalkeeper line to their forward line, they struggled in all the positions last year. One of their biggest concerns remained the goalkeeping errors, which still continue to this date, even after the start of the new season. The fans were desperately looking forward to a new goalkeeper and a replacement for their present one, Andre Onana.

Andre Onana

Manchester United can still sell Andre Onana

The Cameroonian international came out from Inter Milan with a lot of promises, and Manchester United paid £44 million for him in 2023. But with his constant errors leading to unwanted goals, causing frustration among the officials and the fans, and this window, they were desperate to find a replacement.

Manchester United have signed Senne Lammens as their new goalkeeper

A number of names were linked with the club as the potential replacement of Andre Onana, including Emiliano Martinez. But ultimately, they failed to land any familiar names. However, they managed to sign an unknown goalkeeper named Senne Lammens from the Belgian Pro League.

The Red Devils can sell Andre Onana to Saudi Pro League since the transfer window is still open there

Reports have it that Manchester United officials are now planning to use the Belgian goalkeeper as their first choice from now on. It is also reported that they are presently looking forward to uploading Andre Onana since they have found a replacement. But with the International transfer window closed, the options to offload him are now quite low.

The only way they can let Onana go, even after the end of the transfer window, is to send him to Saudi Arabia, as their transfer window will continue until September 23. Reports also suggest that multiple Saudi teams are interested in the 29 year old. But can Manchester United have faith in an unknown goalkeeper over Onana? Only time can answer this question.
