The team that used to dominate the Premier League just decade ago is presently suffering even to qualify in the top half is extremely difficult for the fans to digest.
Everybody expected Manchester United to be quite active in the transfer window the season following their poor form last season. They started the transfer window quite excellently as they secured the signatures of free major forwards, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko.

They were also after Carlos Baleba of Brighton and Hove Albion, but the English club valued the midfielder at a £100 million fee, so Manchester United Football Club decided to come back for him next year as they were unable to pay such a huge transfer fee. Fans were expecting their club to sign a different midfielder when they failed to land Carlos Baleba.
United signed a total of three major forwards
But surprisingly, Manchester United did not go for any other midfielder despite their struggle in the midfield. Ultimately, they decided to keep Bruno Fernandes, who was linked to a move to Saudi Arabia. The same midfield that played in the disastrous campaign of last season will be playing this season too.

There was another position where United struggled last season, and that was on the goal where Andre Onana stood as the goalkeeper. In recent years, Onana admin one of the watch goalkeepers wearing the Manchester United shirt, and his back to back errors led to a lot of unwanted goals.
United finally signed a goalkeeper from Belgium named Senne Lammens but the fans are quite unhappy with this signing as they expected a bigger name. The fans also expected to see a big signing in the midfield, which did not happen either. Things can get difficult for Manchester United with the lack of transfer activities, and the fans are already quite scared about the rest of the season.
