Manchester United is desperate to rebuild their team with the biggest names possible, and presently they are planning to strengthen their forward line up. Bryan Mbuemo on Brentford has been one of their prime targets this season, and we can see him joining the Red Devils soon.

To make the forward line up even stronger, they are also planning to bring in Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, who had an extraordinary season in the 2024-25 season. He has scored a stunning 39 goals in 33 competitions in the Portuguese League and 54 goals in all competitions.

Update on Viktor Gyokeres to Manchester United transfer

Reports are coming out that Ruben Amorim really keen on bringing in the Swedish International. This can be a huge boost for The Red Devils. They struggled badly to score goals last season, and the introductions of Mbuemo and Gyokeres can instantly establish their forward line as the strongest of them all.

Viktor Gyokeres scored 54 goals last season for Sporting

It was reported that Gyokeres had a release clause of £85 million, but Sporting will let him go for a reported fee of £60 million. In today's standard, this transfer money will not be a huge amount for a forward like Gyokeres. Mbuemo will also cost Manchester United something similar.

Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres was under contract with Brighton and Hove Albion for three and a half seasons

Gyokeres was previously signed to Brighton and Hove Albion, but he did not even get any chance to play for the side, despite he was under contract with them for half a season. They brought him from a Swedish club named Brommapojkarna. He had an impressive record in Sweden, but Brighton could not utilise him.

After a number of loan spells and an excellent campaign at Coventry City in the second division of English football, he was signed by Portuguese side Sporting CP, where he had been outstanding so far. If Ruben Amorim gets to secure the signature of Gyokeres, he can definitely improve the chances of Manchester United's Champions League qualification next season.
