James Trafford never got the opportunity to play any game for Manchester City despite having been active on the side since his youth career. He was always sent on loan to different clubs like Bolton Wanderers and Accrington Stanley. And finally, in 2023, the blue half of Manchester decided to make some cash out of him.

Since Manchester City bought James Trafford for a reported fee of £27 million, they are definitely not thinking of keeping him as a reserve goalkeeper forever.
