Newcastle United had a very difficult transfer window this season as their best player, Alexander Isak, is desperately pushing for a move to one of their biggest rivals, Liverpool, and they had a very difficult time replacing their star forward. Multiple names had been linked with the English side as the potential replacement of Isak, but in most cases, they failed to secure the replacements.
Jorgen Strand Larsen had been one of the options they shuffled while they were searching for a replacement for Isak. Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club signed Larsen on a permanent deal only for this season after a successful loan spell last season. But in the same season, Newcastle enquired about the Norwegian international, and it is reported that the forward is also keen on this move.

Jorgen Strand Larsen still wants to move to Newcastle United
Newcastle United made multiple bids for Jorgen Strand Larsen, but all of the bids were rejected by Wolves. Their first bid was worth £50 million, and next, they bid £55 million. But as mentioned already, both of the bids had been rejected. Wolves also made it clear that they do not want to sell him, and it does not matter how much Newcastle are willing to offer.
Jorgen Strand Larsen signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this transfer window
The Magpies had no other option but to shift their interest to other targets, and instantly, they secured the signature of Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart for a reported transfer fee of £65 million. After the successful transfer of the German International, Liverpool fans were hopeful to see Alexander Isak finally have the dream transfer.

Newcastle United have already signed Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart
It also indicated a potential cancellation of any interest from Newcastle United in Jorgen Strand Larsen. But reports also suggested that Newcastle United are looking forward to securing the signatures of at least two forwards, as they have also lost Callum Wilson this season.
So, Larsen can still switch sides despite Newcastle United have signed Nick Woltemade. Yoane Wissa of Brentford was also linked with the Magpies, and he is doing the same thing at Brentford that Isak is doing at Newcastle. Presently, the transfer scenario looks quite exciting and all eyes are on Newcastle on whether they will finally be able to secure the signature of their additional striker.
