Jadon Sancho had been one of the most optimistic signings made by Manchester United in recent years. The former English International was highly rated when he was active in Borussia Dortmund, and the Red Devils were desperate to land him at any cost.

Finally, in 2021, Manchester United became a matter of jealousy for their rival clubs when they secured the much awaited signing of Jadon Sancho for a reported fee of £73m. The fans were extremely happy to get to see the dream signing finally happen. There were a lot of expectations from Sancho some both from fans and the club.

Chelsea is not signing Jadon Sancho permanently

But ultimately, Sancho went on to become one of the worst big money signings Manchester United have ever made. His performance for Manchester United was so bad that he was never even called up to the international side either. But he was a big money signing, and that was the reason why Manchester United did not want to give up on him.

Jadon Sancho is presently signed with Manchester United

After a number of bad seasons with the Red Devils, Man United decided to send Sancho on loan. At first, he was sent back to Borussia Dortmund for a half season, and then Chelsea signed him on loan last season for the full season with an option to buy him permanently.

Surprisingly, Jadon Sancho had been impressive for Chelsea, and it looked like the two sides of London would secure his signature. It was not really an extremely good season, but it was not very bad either. He showed promise, and there were expectations that he could become a top star in the future.
