Harvey Elliott joined Aston Villa on loan during the summer transfer window, and they had an option to buy him out permanently next season for a reported fee of £35 million. He had been one of the most impressive youngsters of Liverpool as long as he had been active in the club, and a large number of fans could not accept his departure.

It was almost inevitable that the 22 year old would be a huge success at Villa Park, and the move will definitely be sealed by the end of the ongoing season. But surprisingly, Elliott could not be a big success at Aston Villa Football team as he could not even get enough chances to play for the English side. So far, he has only managed 5 appearances in all competitions.

“Hopefully we can get a solution for him to try to play consistently, to continue in his career with us or not”. Elliott had been under contract with Liverpool since 2019

So it is pretty much clear that the English footballer will return to Liverpool sooner or later, he is not going to be an Aston Villa player at the end of the season. He is presently on loan to Ashton Villa, and we can expect him to get some more appearances for the club. But only if he gets to impress his manager more, he may get a permanent contract.

Liverpool are also having a pretty difficult time at this moment, and they may actually need Harvey Elliott on their bench, who has been proven pretty lethal as a substitute multiple times in the previous seasons. Keeping a close eye on the present situation of Liverpool, they may not let Elliott leave once he returns to the club.
